    I've been used sublime text lately and to me is the perfect editor. It has a good price, it's very efficient and it's availabe for windows, mac and linux.

    I suggest using these plugins:

    Emmet:
    This plugin lets you code html code a lot faster, for example:
    If you type: ul>li*5
    It creates this:
    <ul>
    <li></li>
    <li></li>
    <li></li>
    <li></li>
    <li></li>
    </ul>

    SideBarEnhance
    This plugin extends the sidebar adding additional functionality

    I suggest it to anyone looking for a good text editor.

    You should give sublime text again, it's perfect for front-end development.

    I used to use Sublime Text 2 but I got annoyed that it always remembered and opened my last opened file. I open a lot of files for no reason and I don't need it to be opened any time I want to start a new project.
    Maybe this was an option. I should check into that.

    note pad ++ is so much easier to me, but I have been hearing good stuff about sublime, haven't worked up the courage to try it out yet though.

    Sublime Text has a lot of useful features if you get used to them. I have found it a bit hard to install a plugin that doesn't explain anything and just assumes you to know the shortcuts. It would be a lot nicer if you could generate an overview of all the shortcuts.
